Illustrations Book 4

Armistice Day report . The Author, Audrey Wilson alias Nanna Strawberry has stocked up
with supplies of water colour paper, paints and pencils to take on the challenge of trying her
hand at illustrations for Book 4.  The process began yesterday at the kitchen table of my dear
friend Barbara in Amlwch after our few days holiday in Southport. (during which I sold several
copies of Books 1 to 3, and left samples with THE CHAMPION newspaper who may include
an article about them in coming weeks). I assembled the characters with pencil and water colour
pencils, but the resultant colours did not have the vivid clarity of colour which we are accustomed to
from Vladislava Vatashka in her illustrations, so I went over them again with various water colours
bought at the street market in Skipton)..I am pleasantly surprised by the result, especially on the
poster which I had photocopied today, with the f ront cover of each of the first four books.
I am looking forward to meeting Wayne tomorrow afternoon. He is a graphic designer who may
be able to help complete pdf for Book 4 on date required, and hopefully the remaining 8 stories
in 2018. I do hope so because I have booked table space for available books at Court Hey Methodist Church Christmas Fayre on Saturday 18th November and Table Sale 25th November.(possibility?).

Also on this Armistice Day, I send Birthday Greetings to my dear cousin, Andrew, on his
70th birthday today and look forward to his family celebrations which are being held tomorrow.
We will both be remembering our Mums too, who shared their birthday date, 12 November. .Audrey

Book 4 NANNA STRAWBERRY SHARES CHRISTMAS WITH AN ANGEL

Changes ahead. I regret to announce that Vladislava Vatashka has given notice that she cannot
complete the pdf for Book 4 by the required date, at the latest 20th November for availability of
the printed book by 28th November. She suggested submission of pdf at a later date,
for availability from 6th December. Sadly this is too late for pre-arranged seasonal promotions
and book signing. So other arrangments have to be made with utmost urgency. My friends
and relatives suggest that I do illustrations for Book 4 to keep it on track, drawing on their
experience of my reasonable artistic abilities.  They will differ from Vladi's excellent creations
but I will give it a go, so that 'NANNA STRAWBERRY SHARES CHRISTMAS WITH AN
ANGEL' is published as planned. I would welcome expert input with the graphics and pdf..
Please email  nannastrawberrystories@gmail.com  or telelphone 07538623739.to discuss.
In the meantime, I thank Vladislava  for her excellent creative input into Books 1,2 and 3.

Celebrating Book 3

2ND NOVEMBER The CHALLENGE community newspaper is very interested in Caitlin's
contribution to the illustrations for Book 3 'Nanna Strawberry Goes Horse Riding' and intends
to make contact with Lord Derby Academy to write a story about Caitlin's achievements and the
successful launch of the Nanna Strawberry Series of twelve short stories by Audrey Wilson.
Caitlin has passed on several orders for the book and had an exciting day today when teachers
and fellow students showed such great interest in her illustrations. Deservedly so.
Well done Caitlin.
Vladi's front cover design reflects the usual high standard we now associate with her talents.
Between them they have helped the Author publish a charming and appealing children's book
about her special birthday.by creating illustrations which have made fun from facts. Thank you.

Published today, Nanna Strawberry Makes a Badge..and has tea with Sophie

Broadhurst Books in Southport have today taken delivery of a quantity of the first two books in
the Nanna Strawberry series.

The Magical Naming of Nanna Strawberry... and a visit to the seaside
Nanna Strawberry Makes a Badge...and has tea with Sophie

Thanks to personal delivery by Lorraine, from PRINTfineso I could keep my appointment with Kate,
children's books editor at the fantastic Broadhurst Books 5-7 Market Street, off Lord Street, Southport.
An absolute treat for book lovers. I was delighted when Kate accepted a quantity of both
Nanna Strawberry Book 1 and Book 2 to give them a try. She reigns over Broadhurst's superb third
floor children's book room crowded with past and present editions gathered en masse on strong
timbered shelving and I am delighted that  my first two children's books will nestle there with them
Hopefully not for long before being chosen by a lover of small colourful books, technically
aged 6-12 but ideally aged 3 - 80+ in families where children enjoy being read to and parents and grandparents enjoy doing the reading and adding their own memories to the tale...
