Book 2 Nanna Strawberry Makes a Badge..and has tea with Sophie

Book Two is now on its way to PRINTfine and will be on sale from
shortly after 6th Ocober.  Nanna Strawberry's birthday.

'Nanna Strawberry Makes a Badge...and has tea with Sophie' describes
how Nanna changed a heart shaped card into a red strawberry badge with
a green loop to attach it to the button on her blouse. Quite amazing how
a loving heart and a strawberry can appear the same shape ! She then visits
Sophie and they make more strawberry badges together. Even Nessie.
Sophie's golden retriever dog. wants one. Then Mummy invites Nanna
Strawberry to go out for tea with them. Daddy comes too. They found
a Chinese Buffet Restaurant and had lots of delicious food.  Did you know
that the chinese spelling for  'All you can eat' really means Buffet? Look out
for this in Vladi's fantastic illustrations.
Nanna Strawberry Stories are on sale at The Walker Art Gallery and all
Liverpool Museums shops. Also at some local shops and sales. Plus  Amazon.
Venues welcomed for book signings and sales. £3.99

Introducing Audrey Wilson author Nanna Strawberry Stores

Children's author Audrey Wilson was inspired to write twelve Nanna Strawberry Stories after
her two year old great grandaughter, Sophie, bestowed the name Nanna Strawberry on her
because she could not say her name Audrey. Great to have a new project at the age of 80.
So at the start of 2016 Audrey wrote her first children's story, and published it in August 2017.
'The Magical Naming of Nanna Strawberry...and a visit to the seaside'.
She then dipped in and out of her life to write eleven more anecdotal stories, including a pony
adventure from her own childhood and from very happy days with her three children, nine
grandchildren and first great granchild, animals and pets.   Quite a medley, which Audrey
hopes will be enjoyed by all youngsters from the age of 3 to 80+. Beautifully illustrated by
Vladistar Vatashka. Great gifts from grandparents for the precious children in their lives.
Two blank lined pages in each book for readers to add their own anecdotes to the story.
On sale at Amazon, City Centre Walker Art Gallery and Museum gift shops, Sedbergh in
Cumbria (Sleephy Elephant and Penny Black), Childwall Lane P.O and various talks and
book signings applied for at libraries and other venues. More welcome.

The Author, Audrey Wilson, was inspired to write her Nanna Strawberry Stories after her first great grandchild, Sophie, called her Nanna Strawberry because she could not say her name Audrey.
Audrey had been a daughter, grandchild, sister, niece, cousin, aunt, Mummy, Nanna, Nan, and now the magical name of Nanna Strawberry.  She had had many titles throughout her life, but none better than
'Nanna Strawberry' just when she was turning 80.  A wonderful moment to write about some of the memorable  adventures she had enjoyed with the many children in her life over several decades.  Enjoy !
Each book is beautifully illustrated by Vladislava Vatashka, creating colourful fun for young readers 3-80+.

Amazon stocks Nanna Strawberry Stories Book 1

Great news, you can now buy Nanna Strawberry Stories from Amazon, kindle and paperback versions, starting with Book1, "The Magical Naming of Nanna Strawberry and a visit to the seaside".

A lovely anecdotal story about the developing relationship between a great-grandmother and great grandchild, set against the background of a visit to the seaside at New Brighton, via a ferry across the River Mersey.

It is also available at some Liverpool National Museum shops and in Sedbergh, Cumbria and various gift shops. Book signings and talks.

Book 2 will be published in three weeks, "Nanna Strawberry Makes a Badge... and has tea with Sophie".

Sophie and playmate Nessie, a golden retriever, learn how to make a badge too, and Mummy and Daddy take Nanna and Sophie out for tea at an All You Can Eat Chinese restaurant. Great fun, especially when Sophie kept calling 'Nanna Strawberry' across the room whenever Nanna went to choose what to eat next.  Until they were all too full to eat any more.
