Armistice Day report . The Author, Audrey Wilson alias Nanna Strawberry has stocked up
with supplies of water colour paper, paints and pencils to take on the challenge of trying her
hand at illustrations for Book 4. The process began yesterday at the kitchen table of my dear
friend Barbara in Amlwch after our few days holiday in Southport. (during which I sold several
copies of Books 1 to 3, and left samples with THE CHAMPION newspaper who may include
an article about them in coming weeks). I assembled the characters with pencil and water colour
pencils, but the resultant colours did not have the vivid clarity of colour which we are accustomed to
from Vladislava Vatashka in her illustrations, so I went over them again with various water colours
bought at the street market in Skipton)..I am pleasantly surprised by the result, especially on the
poster which I had photocopied today, with the f ront cover of each of the first four books.
I am looking forward to meeting Wayne tomorrow afternoon. He is a graphic designer who may
be able to help complete pdf for Book 4 on date required, and hopefully the remaining 8 stories
in 2018. I do hope so because I have booked table space for available books at Court Hey Methodist Church Christmas Fayre on Saturday 18th November and Table Sale 25th November.(possibility?).
Also on this Armistice Day, I send Birthday Greetings to my dear cousin, Andrew, on his
70th birthday today and look forward to his family celebrations which are being held tomorrow.
We will both be remembering our Mums too, who shared their birthday date, 12 November. .Audrey
