Forget-me-not books, Culcheth

Easter Saturday proved to be a beautiful warm sunny day, a true treat for young and old alike,
who found lots of special activities to do on this special day, so my book signing at this
delightful book and games shop was a rather quiet event but nevertheless a very enjoyable
experience.  I was especially pleased to meet young Dylan who took a keen interest in my
series of Nanna Strawberry stories, studying each of them in turn. His Nan told him to choose
one, so he eventually chose Nanna Strawberry Remembers Easter Fun....and egg rolling.
Nan had had a scare about losing her handbag, which was traced back to a picnic bench
and thankfully still there, so she and Dylan returned later carrying two bunches of flowers.
Nan presented hers to Victoria for finding her bag, and Dylan presented his to me which was
a lovely surprise !  Nan told me he had said he would like to buy one for the book lady.
So my quiet restful book signing experience became one of my best ever thanks to Dylan.

I hope Dylan  was able to enjoy some of the fun and games described in his new book.

Love and thanks from Nanna Strawberry x

EASTER SATURDAY BOOK SIGNING IN CULCHETH

'FORGET ME NOT'  BOOKS, ABOVE SAINSBURY'S STORE.
Author Audrey Wilson will be present from 11am with her selection of
numbers one to eleven of her series of Nanna Strawberry Stories 8 of
which she also illustrated

ABOUT NANNA STRAWBERRY STORIES .....

Audrey was inspired to write these delightful little books by her first
great granddaughter, Sophie, who could not say her name Audrey so
called her 'Nanna Strawberry'.  This appealing incident is the subject of
.the first book in the series, when Nanna takes Sophie and her mummy to
New Brighton for the afternoon. Superb llustrations by Vladi Vladamar
has also illustrated books 2 and 3, assisted by 15 year old Caitlin Westall
in book 3. Family circumstances prevented Vladi from completing book 4
in time for Christmas, so new designer, Wayne Stewart, maintained the
original style with some new innovations and Audrey then undertook
illustrating the books herself and continues to do so because children have
clearly liked her naive style which is being maintained  up to book 12 to
avoid further changes in style.  Each book describes a happy event which
involves all the children in Audrey's life, including her own childhood and
her  three children, also nine grandchildren and now four great grandchildren,
in random order. Most children  and their readers can happily relate to the
stories, so each book contains two blank pages for them to include their own
 story.

Priced £3.99 each, the Nanna Strawberry stories have a number of original
features which are now part of their unique  identity and make them very special.
Great to collect the whole series !

Car parking is free at Sainsbury's so chance to do your shopping as well
as starting your collection of Nanna Strawberry stories, which also make
lovely gifts.  Especially 'Nanna Strawberry Remembers Easter Fun..and
egg rolling' which comes with a creme egg as a gift from Nanna Strawberry.

Happy Easter with tons of love from Nanna Strawberry xxx
