Drawing on the experiences of my joyous day long visits to the schools listed
throughout my blog, my impression is that they are filled with happy
confident children under the calm supportive supervision by their Head
and teaching staff. They are taught to be courteous, attentive, and
encouraged to participate with inquisitive enthusiasm. I applaud these qualities.
To me, those qualities are the foundations of their school life and ongoing lives.
Goodness knows what examples were received during recent tv news bulletins about
Parliament and some opposing MPs of all parties. Some from all parties preferred
being loud voiced rebels to the dignity of conducting themselves with mutual courtesy as
'honourable' Members of Parliament honouring democratic voting outcomes as elected to do.
They could take some lessons from the schools I refer to now.
Their children and staff do interact with honourable mutual courtesy despite the
various economic backgrounds in the areas they serve and serious shortfalls to
school budgets. Good examples in behaviour do count.
Something very good is going on in most primary schools. All politicians should
ensure they are properly funded for the advantage of ALL schoolchildren who will
one day be the responsible adults of the future, some of whom may even become a local
councillor or Member of Parliament, or a doctor, lawyer, nurse, dentist, pharmacist,
teacher, retailer, farmer, craftsperson, skilled tradesperson, emergency responder,
administrators of vital services, charity worker, author..... and hopefully future parents of
of children who will continue to have the same opportunities we want THEM to have NOW.
But not on the basis of being electoral footballs during the coming General Election !
There is always good reason for respecting and maintaining good outcomes, improving poor
ones, instead of sacrificing the good with the poor ones at every wholesale political change.
I will always uphold you.

INTRODUCING FIRST NANNA STRAWBERRY STORY
BOOK 1 THE MAGICAL NAMING OF NANNA STRAWBERRY...
.....and a visit to the seaside
The following extract is drawn from opening pages
When Nanna Audrey looked out of her window and saw a clear blue sky and
bright sunshine, she made a telephone call to her grand-daughter Emma.
'Would you like to bring Sophie for a day out at New Brighton today?
It is such a lovely day and being near the seaside would be fun'
'That is a nice idea Nanna' said Emma, 'we would love to come. See you soon'.
'Wear jackets, the sea breezes may be cool' . (illustrated on opp page, on telephones)
When Emma and Sophie arrived hand in hand at Nanna's front door, carrying red
beach buckets in their other hands, Sophie looked anxiously at her. (illustration opp page)
Emma said 'Nanna, Sophie is worried. She calls you Nanna Strawberry because
she cannot say your name Audrey.'
'\Oh' exclaimed Nanna ,
'I think 'Nanna Strawberry' is a wonderful name!
I like it very much. Thank you Sophie.'
And so from that magical moment she became
'Nanna Strawberry'
to her happy gleeful great grand-daughter (illustration shows Sophie's excitement).
REMAINDER of story describes bus and ferry journeys to New Brighton,
fish and chips, sandpies on beach next to seaside on River Mersey.
All accompanied by Sophie frequently calling 'Nanna Strawberry',
Young boy collects sea shells for Sophie, using her red bucket.
( Ilustrated on opp page and on colourful front cover.)
CONCLUSION TO STORY on return to Nanna's house.
'Goodbye Nanna Strawberry' called out Sophie in her happy gleeful voice,
waving from the car.
Nanna Strawberry gave a big smile and waved back. (illustration, waving to Sophie in car)

ALERT TO NEW AUTHORS:
Despite still refusing to discuss this matter with me as the responsible person,
ie author, publisher, copyright holder, Amazon have renewed their exhorbitant charges
of £606.96 for return delivery of unsold Nanna Strawberry Stories, at February 2019
with an additional charge of £133.00 for further storage and returns in September 2019.
I had paid just under £100 for DELIVERING a total of 11 boxes of books to Amason's
collection point over 11 months and could not have anticipated the huge charge for
return of unsold books by carrier from all parts of the United Kingdom over several days !
It is beyond my control that they omitted to return the later books amongst February
returns ! Ir is also beyond my control that they refused to communicate with me
as author and publisher, simply on the grounds that I had asked my grand-daughter
to do the IT work involved when resgistering the stories with Amazon. They are
therefore holding her as the financially responsible person. Outrageous ! I am the
responsible person they should have communicated with in the circumstances.
So to new Authors everywhere, I say, be alert and beware of Amazon techniques.
I will consider prompt payment of a more reasonable agreed amount once I, not my
helpful grand-daughter, am recognised as the financially responsible person.
