Nanna Strawberry looks forward to the following occasions at which the author offers
readings of Nanna Strawberry Stories to children and adults, and purchases if desired.
Friday 27 April Great Sankey St James CE Primary School Morning Assembly.
A very enjoyable occasion for Nanna Strawberry. The lovely children
happily took part in role play and National Anthem during Assembly
and I then visited each year group in their class room to read various books.
I am very impressed at the quality of questions by children of all ages.
Several discounted sets of 3 sold, from which £20 donated to school funds.
Friday 11 May Lady Lever Art Gallery to participate in Memories of the Past.
I was advised that either Stagecoach buses 1 or 2 from Sir Thomas Street
would drop me off a similar 5 minute walk from the Gallery, so I took No 1.
The driver informed me bus No 2 would have been better because it
goes into the Village. I certainly found the walk from the No 1 stop long
and difficult, while pulling a book laden shopping trolley, so on leaving
I took the No 2 near bowling green, which was certainly closer to the
Gallery and a more pleasant route back to Sir Thomas Street. .
The group leaders, Jillian, Emma and Mark and participant were all in place
when I arrived. We focused on book 6 (Remembering The Young Queen)
and the role play conluded with a fantastic rendering of National Anthem !
I only sold one book because the group went strainght into a film of
several royal weddings over the decades which was very interesting...
My thanks to everyone concerned for inviting me. Audrey
Tuesday 22 May Huyton Library. After School Readings + crafts 3.30-4.45pm
This was a happy occasion, combined with crafts, when the children made
lovely decorated crowns. They had enjoyed Nanna Strawberry's reading of

from a few other stories. Some took part in potato and spoon games!

in 1939 as a four year old refuge staying at her Aunt's home in Farfield !
